Welcome to Ochil Medical Practice

Patient access

Throughout the last year, the practice has restricted the footfall within the waiting room for the safety of all patients and staff. This will continue at present.

The Practice has always and will continue to be open for ALL essential primary care problems but, on the advice of Health Protection Scotland, we have in place a process whereby everyone is screened by telephone prior to being seen. You will appreciate that this makes our lines far busier than usual, but we ask you to bear with us during this time.

Practice staff will ask you for some general information to help you to see or speak to the most appropriate person in the practice. This may not always be with a doctor, but with another member of the health care team, pharmacists, mental health nurses, physiotherapists, general practice nurses, or advanced nurse practitioners who may be available to help.

Before you get in touch, please consider whether you can manage your condition safely yourself by getting advice from our self-help guides on NHS Inform or by speaking with your local pharmacist.

Again, we thank you for your patience and understanding.

Why are GP practices still working differently?

Our practice list is currently full.  If you wish to register with a doctor, please contact Practitioner Services on 0845 300 1661.

We would like to remind patients and visitors that we operate a zero tolerance approach regarding verbal abuse and intimidation of staff.

We thank you for your continued support during this difficult time.
